He is the first player to fire a treble in the final of this competition.
In the process, the 26-year-old Super Eagles striker ended the 51-game unbeaten run of Bayer Leverkusen.
It was third time lucky for the Super Eagles striker, who earlier this year lost two finals – the 2023 AFCON and the Coppa Italia.
He was named Man of the Match and his entire team mobbed him immediately the final whistle went.
Lookman struck first blood in the 12th minute with a well-taken goal.
He then doubled his team’s advantage on 26 minutes with another terrific strike, before he conjured an unstoppable shot on 75 minutes to crown an awesome display.
In the second half, Leverkusen brought on both Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, but it was too little, too late as the Bundesliga champions were simply outplayed and outscored by the Italians.
