Italian club US Cremonese have said they expect a new and improved offer for striker Cyriel Dessers from Scottish giants Rangers.
Cremonese, who were relegated from the Italian Serie A this past season, want at least the 6.5 Million Euros they forked out to sign Dessers from Belgian club Genk last summer.
Rangers have submitted a first bid for the 28-year-old striker, which Cremonese rejected.
Cremonese sports director Simone Jacket said they are now waiting on Rangers to table a new offer.
“There is a negotiation with Rangers underway, but at the moment everything is on hold as we’re waiting on them to come up with a new offer,” he said.
Dessers, who has been capped by the Super Eagles after he chose to play for the birthplace of his mother, has previously played in Holland and Belgium.
