Olympiacos forward Henry Onyekuru is the latest player to pull out of the Super Eagles 2022 World Cup double-header against Central African Republic due to injury.
Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Oghenekaro Etebo (Watford), Alex Iwobi (Everton) and Teremi Moffi (FC Lorient) have all pulled out of the forthcoming qualifiers on account of injury.
Onyekuru said he was handed a late call-up at the weekend but he will not be available as he got injured in his team’s last game.
The Super Eagles welcome CAR on Thursday in Lagos, before a reverse tie in Douala, Cameroon, on Sunday.
Nigeria lead the qualifying group with six points from two matches, while CAR are third on a point.
