Gift Orban has received the backing of his Belgian club Gent to soon be firing in the goals again after he missed some big chances at the weekend.
The striker started versus RWDM at the weekend, but failed to score as he missed several begging chances in front of goal.
He got a big opportunity after 15 minutes and then he twice saw his effort from close range cleared off the line.
“We also have some bad luck with the ball in front of goal. It was especially unfortunate for Orban himself that he could not score,” Gent coach Hein Vanzhaezebrouck said.
“So it wasn’t all perfect, but I don’t want to focus too much on the negatives.”
Fellow Gent striker Hugo Cuypers has also supported Gift Orban.
“Myself, Tissoudali and Orban are doing well. I am sure that the goals will come again for Gift,” he assured.
Gent won the game 3-1 and Gift Orban was replaced in the second half.
