Ex-Flying Eagles striker Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi will not be moving to French club Le Havre after all following a breakdown in negotiations.
The striker’s Slovenian club NK Celje had agreed a transfer fee of 1.5 Million Euros to be paid in four instalments as well as a sell-on clause of 15%.
Ikwuemesi was also be given a four-year contract with a routine medical planned for Ljubljana, where Le Havre are camped for pre-season training.
However, a signing bonus demanded by the player’s entourage proved to be the stumbling block.
In less than a week, planned transfers for the AC Milan target to Latvian club Riga FC and now Le Havre have collapsed.
