Against Cote d’Ivoire Thursday, Flying Eagles coach Aliyu Zubairu is most likely to again start El Kanemi Warriors midfielder Nasiru Salihu, who was the MVP of this year’s President Federation Cup but disappointed against Burkina Faso in an U20 AFCON qualifier last week.
Salihu scored the two goals that buried Abia Warriors in the cup final.
However, the Kano-born attacking midfielder was anonymous when the Flying Eagles fell 1-0 to Burkina Faso in a Group B opening U20 AFCON qualifier in Togo.
The Flying Eagles midfield failed to get the attack to fire against the Young Etalons of Burkina Faso.
Nasiru Salihu will keep his place with late call-up Sabiu Ibrahim, who was a direct replacement for Daniel Daga, coming in for Raphael Oyebanjo in defensive midfield.
Sabiu was a second-half substitute against Burkina Faso.
Croatia-based Israel Ayuma will also keep his place in a three-man midfield that forms part of the favoured 4-3-3 formation of coach Aliyu Zubairu.
thanks a lot of information
