They now have three points from two matches after they lost their opening group game 2-1 to Germany.
Amina Bello put Nigeria in front after just 16 minutes when she headed home a cross from the left by Adeshina.
The Flamingoes made it 2-0 after 34 minutes when Miracle Usani shot was helped on by a New Zealand defender.
It was her second goal of the tournament.
Fifteen-year-old Taiwo Afolabi increased the margin on 75 minutes with a long-range scorcher, before substitute Etim Edidiong completed the rout in stoppage time when she rifled home another beauty beyond the diving goalkeeper.
Star striker Opeyemi Ajakaye was outstanding even though she did not get on the score board and this defeat was a little flattering for the Kiwis because Nigeria wasted several chances.
Nigeria will play their final group game on Monday against Chile, who beat New Zealand 3-1 in their opening match.
