SCORENigeria can exclusively report that the record transfer of Super Eagles No 1 goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has reached “advanced stage”.
Sources familiar with the transfer told only SCORENigeria that a top club have already agreed personal terms with Nwabali.
It is now left for the two clubs to agree a final transfer fee.
“It’s a major transfer,” a top source informed SCORENigeria
“The player has agreed personal terms and hopefully, the finer details involving both clubs could be finalised as early as next week.”
Nwabali, 27, made a name for himself at the delayed 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, where the Super Eagles went all the way to the championship game.
His outstanding performance attracted several foreign clubs, but the delay in a transfer was caused by changing valuation of the player by his South African PSL club Chippa United.
Alex Iwobi should be axed from the team. Now we have Ndidi, Oyedika, Onyeka at the middle. They are versatile. We need Eagles that can break the rock.
Sure, no time for fancy footballing.
Time feature rugged players, even if home based. Coach Finidi should get his acts together against South Africa.
