Former Super Eagles assistant coach Usman Abdalla is the front runner to be appointed new head coach of NPFL club Kano Pillars.
Pillars have declared their head coaching post vacant after Abdul Maikaba was suspended earlier in the season.
Abdalla leads a strong field of candidates that includes former Sunshine Stars coach Henry Abiodun, Deji Ayeni formerly of Akwa United and ex-Sporting Lagos coach Paul Offor.
A holder of UEFA Pro License, Abdalla led Enyimba to win the 2019 NPFL championship and guide them to the semifinal of the CAF Confederation Cup same year.
Four-time NPFL champions Pillars finished a disappointing 10th this past season.
