Teenager Emmanuel Emegha has said he is thrilled that he started for Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam in a pre-season friendly against RKC Waalwijk.
The 17-year-old centre-forward, whose twin brother Joshua features for Sparta U18s, started in the 1-1 draw.
“The trainer showed confidence in me,” said Emegha, who has come through the ranks at Sparta.
The tall striker was replaced in the 69th minute.
Emegha’s mother is Nigerian, while his father is from Togo and he was born in Holland.
He has already been capped by his adopted country at U15 level.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye also started for Sparta in the friendly.
