Cyriel Dessers scored for the second straight game tonight, but Goal King Paul Onuachu failed to hit target as Genk thrashed Antwerp 4-0 to keep the pressure on championship playoffs leaders Club Brugge.
Genk are now just two points behind Club Brugge, who play away at Anderlecht later today.
Should the defending champions win, they will be crowned champions again.
Dessers, who has spent the entire season in the shadows of fellow Super Eagles striker Onuachu, scored his team’s fourth goal in the 75th minute.
That was a minute after he replaced Onuachu.
He has now scored six goals in the league this season.
But for Onuachu, it was one of those rare days when he did not shake the net.
However, he delivered two assists for his team’s goals in the 49th and 64th minutes.
Onuachu has scored 33 goals in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League this season.
