Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze has been nominated among nine others by France Football Magazine for the World Best U21 Player of the Year Award for 2019 to replace Kylian Mbappe of France.
It is known as the Kopa Award.
Chukwueze enjoyed a superb breakthrough season with La Liga club and has continued this run in the current campaign.
He also featured in his first-ever AFCON as the Super Eagles finished third in Egypt in July.
He will be vying for this prestigious honour with the likes of Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund/England), Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid/Portugal), Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus/Holland) and Matteo Guendouzi (Arsenal/France).
