SCORENigeria reported Saturday this postponement was likely.
The continental showpiece event was scheduled to be played between January 9 and February 6 in Cameroon, but it will now be played in January 2022.

Three-time champions Super Eagles lead Group L with six points followed by Benin, who have three points.
Sierra Leone and Lesotho are the other teams in this section and they both have a point apiece.
