Despite a cameo role in Napoli final Serie A match of the season against Lecce, injury has now ruled out Victor Osimhen from the Super Eagles crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin.

According to the NFF, Osimhen will be sidelined for at least four weeks.
His place has now been taken by Enugu Rangers defender Kenneth Igboke.
Nigeria welcome South Africa to Uyo on June 7, before a second World Cup qualifying match against Benin in Cote d’Ivoire.
They are third in Group C with two points from as many matches.
