Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has become the first player to scoop five CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year Awards.
She has now edged past compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha, who won four such awards.
In Thursday night’s nomination in Rabat, Morocco, she was picked ahead of Grace Chanda of Zambia and Ajara Nchout Njoya from Cameroon.
The Barcelona FC star previously bagged the award in 2014,2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022.
She has also won the 2015 CAF Youth Player Award.
Sadio Mane of Senegal and Bayern Munich was named the 2022 CAF Player of the Year (Male).
