Arsenal boss Freddie Ljungberg has praised youngster Bukayo Saka after he scored a goal and provided an assist for the Premier League club to win Group F of the UEFA Europa League after a spirited comeback to draw 2-2 at Standard Liege.
Arsenal thus finished top of the standings on 11 points from six matches.
“He was amazing,” said interim Arsenal boss Ljungberg.
“I think he was a bit upset with me before the game that he had to play wing-back and then full-back! Because he doesn’t like it so much.
“But no, he’s a tremendous talent and you could see it here again. His final ball and the last bit is always effective and there’s always an end product to his work.”
Saka celebrated his five-star display in Belgium.
“It was beautiful for me…to score one and make one is a good night,” he said.
The draw for the knockout rounds of the Europa League will be staged on Monday afternoon.
