Ademola Lookman was the only spark for Atalanta as they took on fellow Italian club Parma in a friendly ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
Lookman netted a 38th minute goal, which eventually turned out to be a consolation, after he got on the end of a Gianluca Scammacca through ball, raced past the goalkeeper to reduce the deficit for his team.
Lookman again freed Scamacca in a tight area, allowing the Italian striker to test the goalkeeper Suzuki but his attempt and Lookman ‘s follow-up was blocked.
This is Lookman’s second goal contribution in two games after he forced an own goal in their first preseason game against AZ Alkmaar.
Parma however got two unreplied goals afterwards, reducing Atalanta to a 4-1 defeat ahead of their Super Cup tie against Real Madrid on August 14 after their final pre-season game against St. Pauli.
