Golden Eaglets have been boosted with the return to full fitness of star defender Emmanuel Chukwu, who missed the U17 AFCON qualifiers no thanks to a last-ditch injury.
The giant central defender, 14, from the Yak Sports Academy was dropped from the squad and replaced by Philip Titiloye after he suffered a training ground injury prior to the trip to Togo.
“The boy is now 100% and fully back to the team,” a team official informed SCORENigeria
With Chukwu marshaling the defence, the Eaglets have maintained clean sheets in their test matches preparatory to the U17 AFCON, which begins in Morocco next week.
They kick off their U17 AFCON campaign on March 14 against Tanzania.
