Nigeria took the lead through a header off a corner, before China drew level courtesy of a powerful shot from inside the box also in the first half.
Both teams chased for the winning goal but good goalkeeping as well as poor finishing denied them.
The Golden Eaglets lost to Tanzania (3-2) and Australia (4-2) in their opening games of the tournament.
