Free agent Mikel Obi has revealed he is not yet sure he will take up an offer to join ambitious Brazilian club Botafago, who have signed former Japan star Keisuke Honda.
Mikel disclosed he is negotiating with Botafago, but he is still mulling the idea to play in Brazil.
“Yes there has been interest and yes there has been negotiations. But I don’t know yet. I am still thinking about it. Not sure yet,” he told ESPN.
The former Chelsea star quit Turkish championship chasers Trabzonspor after he kicked against the league carrying on amid growing fears on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
His transfer market value is put at around $1.2 million.
