Top Turkish club Trabzonspor have reached a preliminary agreement with 22-year-old defender Chibuike Nwaiwu.
The transfer will now be finalised when Trabzonspor hammer an agreement with the player’s Austrian club Wolfsberger.
Trabzonspor got permission to discus a transfer with the highly-rated central defender and they have agreed in principle a contract of three and a half years.
It is now for Trabzonspor to finalise this transfer for around eight million euros, including bonuses.
However, Wolfsberger are insisting on 12 million euros.
Negotiations are ongoing between the clubs.
The young and athletic player’s contract with Trabzonspor expires in 2027. His market value is seven million euros.
It is reported that Trabzonspor are extremely insistent on acquiring the 1.93m tall central defender.
