The Golden Eaglets will this afternoon renew a growing rivalry with Burkina Faso when both teams clash to decide who wins Group B of the 2025 WAFU B U17 AFCON qualifiers in Cote d’Ivoire.
Kick-off time is 4pm Nigerian time.
The Eaglets are top of the standings in a three-team Group B after they trounced Benin 4-1 and Burkina Faso could only beat the same team by the odd goal.
Victories by both teams mean they have both qualified for the semifinals of the qualifying tournament and so today’s match will be to determine who finishes top of the group and will then face the runners-up in Group A, which has hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Niger.
Only the finalists of this tournament will advance to the 2025 U17 AFCON.
