Former Golden Eaglets star Ishaq Abdulrazak has yet to play for his new Swedish club IFK Varnamo after a torrid few years at Belgian giants Anderlecht.
The sports director of Varnamo, Jorgen Petersson, has now explained the situation around the 22-year-old ‘Golden Boy’.
“When he came here, we knew it would take X number of weeks before he was fit. We saw in the medical assessment that he had a problem with a previous injury and that his physical status was not at its peak, Petersson told Fotbollskanalen
“We had hoped that he would be in the starting lineup, but the rehab didn’t go that quickly.
“There was no damage that needed to be repaired, but the rehabilitation needed to be completely rearranged,” he added.
The goal now is for Ishaq Abdulrazak to be back in action sometime in early May.

Why refer to him as golden?
Nonsense.
