The Golden Eaglets hopes of featuring at this year’s U17 AFCON are now brighter after CAF expanded the competition.
The U17 AFCON will now have 16 teams, four teams more than the previous edition of the tournament.
The Golden Eaglets finished third at the WAFU B qualifiers in Ghana last year and could therefore now be included in the 2025 tournament.
The U17 AFCON in Morocco from March 30 to April 19 will be qualifiers for the 2025 U17 World Cup in Qatar in November.
