The Flamingos today took a giant step towards qualifying for the U17 Women’s World Cup after they brushed past Burkina Faso 6-0 to go through 7-1 on aggregate to the final qualifying playoff.
They will now face the winners of the tie between Senegal and Liberia for the ticket to the World Cup.
The Nigerian girls took a commanding first-half lead through goals by Chidera Harmony and Peace Mary Effiong.
Harmomy completed her hat-trick with goals in the 74th and 85th minutes.
Effiong got her brace two minutes from full time with Layi Kareem also getting a goal on 83 minutes.
