Despite a narrow 1-0 home win, Esther Okoronkwo has said she is very confident the Super Falcons will seal qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympics in South Africa.
Both teams will clash again in Pretoria Tuesday to determine who will feature at the summer games in France.
“For me, we’re going to Paris,” declared Okoronkwo, who was a second-half sub in the first game in Abuja.
“We’re going to Paris.
“There is no question of losing because we will cope in the second leg.”
The Super Falcons created as many as 15 chances Friday, but failed to take any and it needed a first-half penalty goal by skipper Rasheedat Ajibade to get them across the line.
Nine-time African champions Nigeria last qualified for the Olympics in 2008.
