Burkina Faso have been dealt a serious body blow leading up to tonight’s crucial U17 AFCON quarterfinal against the Golden Eaglets after star striker Ousmane Camara was suspended for the tie.
Camara has received two bookings in the group stage of the AFCON.
The winners of this West African Derby will square up against rampant Senegal, who smashed five goals past South Africa in the second quarterfinal Wednesday night.
Ousmane Camara was the MVP and top scorer with four goals when Burkina Faso fell 2-1 to the Eaglets in the WAFU B in Ghana last June.
Mali-born Camara is one of the biggest young talents in Burkina Faso and his idol is the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.
He wears the No 7 shirt and celebrates his goal just like CR7.
The winners of this West African Derby will join Senegal and Algeria, who trounced hosts Algeria 3-0 in first quarterfinal, to the U17 World Cup.
Kick-off tonight at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers is 8pm.
