Plateau United recorded their second straight win in the NPFL after they won at promoted Jigawa Golden Stars, while Wikki Tourists also stopped hosts Nasarawa United in Lafia.
Enugu Rangers, FC Ifeanyiubah, Warri Wolves, Heartland and Enyimba are got a draw on their travels this weekend.
Nenrot Silas was the match winner for Plateau United after 34 minutes, while Wikki Tourists had to wait till the 80th minute to win at Nasarawa United courtesy of an 80th minute effort by Sixtus Forsah.
Like Plateau United, Wikki have also won their first two games of the new season.
Katsina United raced into a third minute lead through a penalty converted by last season’s leading scorer Tasiu Lawal, before Enyimba fought back to draw 1-1 with former Katsina United striker Martins Usule grabbing his third goal in as many games.
The biggest winners on the day were Lobi Stars, who thrashed Delta Force with striker Sikiru Alimi among the goals.
