Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) and NFF 2nd vice-president Shehu Dikko has appeared before the special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property that is probing the NFF for conspiracy and an alleged case of diversion of public funds.
It was gathered that Shehu Dikko appeared before the panel Tuesday after he had signed an undertaken to do so on return from an official assignment overseas.
The LMC boss made a written statement as it concerns the case in question.
Other officials including NFF 1st vice-president Seyi Akinwunmi, Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’, Alizor Chuks as well as NFF finance director Mohammed Cheku are expected to also appear before the panel after the 2019 AFCON qualifier in South Africa.
A long list of past and present NFF officials have so far appeared before the panel headed by Obono Obla.
In the meantime, officials told SCORENigeria that as a law-enforcing agency the panel has the power to seize in the interim properties of persons being investigated pending the conclusion of the case.
They said their power is taken from the Executive Order 6 recently signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
