Jamilu Collins has told SCORENigeria it was double celebration for him when the Super Eagles defeated Libya 3-2 in an AFCON qualifier as it was also the birthday of his son.
The Germany-based leftback again played from start to finish against Libya in Sfax and so could not be with his son on his special day.
“It was also my son’s birthday, but unfortunately I could not be with him and his mother because I was on duty with the Super Eagles,” he told SCORENigeria
“I promised them to work harder so that we will win again and thankfully we did so.
“It was a match against Libya, who again proved to be no pushovers as they were out for revenge, but our third goal gave us the victory we needed.
“And so I have dedicated this victory to Santiago.”
The SC Paderborn star has now won three caps after his debut against Liberia in a testimonial game in honour of President George Weah last month.
