Brazilian coach Rafael Everton is understood to have indicated interest in succeeding Kennedy Boboye at Plateau United, SCORENigeria checks have revealed.
Boboye signed a two-year contract with the Jos club which ended this term with the former Sunshine Stars manager reported to have announced his departure from the club.
“Everton has turned in his papers indicating willingness to work with us”, an official of the club told SCORENigeria
Everton won the 2016 Aiteo Federation Cup for FC Ifeanyiubah.
He was later replaced by Yaw Preko, a Ghanaian, who led the club to a first round exit in the 2017 CAF confederation Cup.
SCORENigeria checks also revealed that Akwa United coach Abdul Maikaba and Chris Danjuma, coach of the country’s U20 women’s team, are other coaches linked to the Plateau United top post.
Maikaba has seen off his initial two years at Akwa United, winning the Aiteo Cup for ‘The Promise Keepers’ in his first year in 2017.
