Ahmed Musa heads for goal in Saudi Arabia

SCORENigeria looks at the five Nigeria stars who shone over the weekend across the globe.

  1. Ahmed Musa

The former Leicester City star is enjoying a new lease of life in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr after another comfortable home win with he also getting on the scoreboard.

It is such form the fans will be hoping he brings along for the AFCON double header against Libya starting with the first game in Uyo on Saturday.

4.Paul Onuachu

He inspired table-topping Midtjylland to a comfortable 3-0 home win over Vendsyssel.

He has now scored four goals this season after he managed only half of his tally the previous season no thanks to injury.

3.Victor Osimhen

The goals are trickling in for the highly-rated young striker after he scored his second goal this season for Belgian club Charleroi against Cercle Brugge.

This can only boost his self-belief after the goals dried up in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg and his opportunities were limited.

With the way he is going, he is on course to earning a permanent deal at Charleroi when his season-long loan is up at the end of the season.

Victor Osimhen could make his transfer to Charleroi permanent should his goals continue

2.Moses Ogbu

The little known striker has bounced back from a long-term injury to now score seven goals this season for his modest Swedish club.

And he did this in style by grabbing a brace and outshining compatriot Chinedu Obasi, who was playing on the opposing side.

This is an improvement from last season when he scored six goals.

1.Odion Ighalo

The Eagles striker is still unstoppable in China after he scored his 20th goal in a draw at Tianjin Teda.

This will be hoping he now brings such form to bear on Saturday’s AFCON qualifier against Libya in Uyo.

Last season, he netted 15 goals in the Chinese Super League.
