Abdulsalam Magashy has said the referee was wrong to have sent him off in Kristianstad FC home game on Saturday.
Magashy was sent off for the second time this season in Sweden after the referee gave him a straight red card for retaliation in a crucial league game against Taavkers IF.
TV replays later showed the former FC Hearts star did not hit back at his opponent even after he was dangerously hacked down.
“I never touched the player,” the combative defensive midfielder told his club’s official website.
It is not known if Kristianstad will now appeal the dismissal.
They are now 11th on the 16-team table with 27 points from 25 matches.
