Katsina United vs Kano Pillars in the NPFL this past season

Kano Pillars coach Ibrahim A. Musa has expressed confidence his team will go past regional rivals Katsina United on Wednesday in Lagos to qualify for the final of the Aiteo Cup.

Today, Pillars dismantled Enyimba 4-2 in the quarterfinal in Gombe and he is hopeful they can go on to reach the final of the cup competition on Wednesday.

“We will win, we are on a good run – We are unbeaten in the last eight matches in the league and we only lost once in the Aiteo Cup while winning the other five games,” he said.

However, he called on the Kano State Government to fly the team from Kano to Lagos

“We will want to appeal to the government to fly the team to Lagos to reduce the stress on us,” he begged.

The Pillars coach said they were the better team against Enyimba today.

“We ought to have scored more goals against them in the first half,” he said.

“Enyimba are a great team but we were unlucky not to beat them after they held us to a draw in the league.

“We were the better team and we deserved our win.”
