Razak Adegbite said he hopes Angolan champions Primero de Agosto can add the CAF Champions League to their trophy cabinet this season after they ousted TP Mazembe from the competition.
Primero de Agosto have qualified for the semi-final of the Champions League after they held hosts TP Mazembe to a 1-1 draw after the first game had ended in a scoreless draw.
Adegbite has already won the Angolan championship with Primero de Agosto this year and they will now host Esperance of Tunisia in the first leg of the semi final of the CAF Champions League.
“We can make it double having won the league just last month in Angola and we are out with the target to make it a double,” the former Enugu Rangers and Enyimba star told SCORENigeria
He said his team remained confident they can go beyond the quarterfinal of the Champions League despite being held to a 0-0 draw at home by TP Mazembe.
“We knew we can make it, we believe in ourselves as players and we got the deserved result to get to the semifinal,” he said.
“We are very happy to go through at the expense of a club with rich pedigree like TP Mazembe.
