Sports minister Solomon Dalung restated that today’s NFF elections in Katsina is illegal and as such he won’t be attending or even be represented.
Dalung reiterated that the polls are illegal following the Supreme Court judgment of April 27, 2018, which restored all orders granted Chris Giwa by the High Court.
The Federal High Court sitting in Jos in furtherance of this enforced this judgment and has yet to set it aside.
Dalung in an official letter to the NFF general secretary dated September 19 therefore warned against conducting the elections.
The minister has declared the NFF executive committee led by Amaju Pinnick are illegal as they are not known to law and as such anything they do is illegal and a nullity.
