Former U17 international Akinjide Idowu and Godspower Aniefiok, who has been capped by Nigeria at U23 level, have signed a two-year contract with FC Palanga in Lithuania.

London-based agent Akorede Hutman, who brokered the deal, told SCORENigeria: “Both players have signed for Palanga, who are fighting to remain in the top league of Lithuania.

“I believe they will help the team to stay up.”

Aniefiok, who played for Akwa United and Kano Pillars in the NPFL, featured at the 29015 U23 AFCON, which Nigeria won to qualify for the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Idowu has played for both the U17 and U20s under coach Manu Garba.

At a point, he also tried his luck in the USA.

Recently Lucky Omeruo, younger brother of Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo, also signed for Palanga in a deal also made possible by Hutman.
