KV Kortjik are still confident they can pull through a transfer for free agent Imoh Ezekiel despite a visa palaver, but the striker is most likely to miss the league opener at home against former club Anderlecht.
Imoh Ezekiel’s move to Kortjik has been delayed over the issuance of a visa.
He was released by relegated UD Las Palmas this month even though he still has a year left on the contract he signed with them in January.
He has previously featured for Anderlecht and Standard Liege as well in Turkey and Qatar.
Meanwhile, former Flying Eagles skipper Abduljaleel Ajagun scored for Kortjik in a pre-season friendly against Beershot, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
