Beaten finalists in the 2017 Gothia Cup Boys U17 Elite TikiTaka Nigeria will begin their quest to be champions this year when they open their campaign this afternoon against IF Elfsborg of Sweden.
The match will kick off by 3 pm inside the SK Arena in Gothenburg.
They will then tackle CCL Academy of the USA in their next Group 5 game on Tuesday, before they round up the group stage the following day against another Swedish club IF Brommapojkarna.
At the weekend, the Nigeria U17s held GAIS U19 side to a 1-1 draw in a pre-tournament friendly.
Striker Usman Awalu scored TikiTaka’s goal.
Defending champions Right To Dream Academy of Ghana and Asec Mimosas from Cote d’Ivoire have also entered for this category of the annual competition.
Right To Dream pipped TikiTaka 1-0 in last year’s final.
