Wilfred Ndidi vs Croatia in Kaliningrad

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi covered the most distance when the Super Eagles battled Iceland in a World Cup Group D match in Volgograd – 11,194 kilometres.

According to an Instat special report made available to SCORENigeria, Alfred Finnbogason was the next player to clock the most distance as he covered 11,007 km.

Three other Eagles stars covered over 10,000 km – Oghenekaro Etebo (10,397), Victor Moses (10,140) and skipper Mikel Obi (10,061).

Four Iceland players covered about that distance in Volgograd.

Nigeria won the game 2-0 to revive their hopes of advancing to the knockout rounds of Russia 2018.

They face Argentina tomorrow night in Saint Petersburg in a decisive final group game from 7pm Nigerian time.
