Wilfred Ndidi – Eagles midfielder

Wilfred Ndidi did not feature against England at Wembley because the Super Eagles have an agreement with the midfielder’s Premier League club Leicester City.

However, Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has said Ndidi will now start against Czech Republic on Wednesday in a final warm-up game leading up to the World Cup in Russia.

“We need but we have an agreement with Leicester City and (the England game) was not the time for him to return (to action)

“We followed exactly the programme Leicester gave us.

“But he will start next game against the Czech Republic, and I hope if he played, he will be fit on June 16 (World Cup Group D match vs Croatia).”

Ndidi has made remarkable recovery from a long-term hamstring injury which ended his season prematurely.
