Kenneth Omeruo has enjoyed “amazing” season in Turkey as he gets set for a second World Cup

Kenneth Omeruo has said his impressive displays in his latest loan spell in Turkey have kept him in contention for a place at a second World Cup.

He also described as “amazing” his second spell at Kasimpasa.

The Nigeria international is on a season-long loan spell at Kasimpasa from Chelsea in the Premier League.

Omeruo told SCORENigeria his team are now on course to finish well this season.

They are ninth on the table with 40 points from 29 matches.

“It has been amazing time for us as a team, we have won our last three games and we are really on course to see whether we can even play in the Europa League next season,” Omeruo told SCORENigeria

“Playing games week in, week out is good for me as a player who hopes to be at the World Cup.

I have now made 24 appearances of the season. I am happy here with my form and game time which is important for me as a professional footballer.”

Kasimpasa have kept three clean sheets with their latest win being against Karasbukspor.
