Former Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike will not return to Greek champions Olympiacos to finish the two years left on his contract, top sources in Greece have exclusively informed SCORENigeria
It has been gathered from Greece that the all-action striker may dump Olympiacos in the summer at the end of his loan move at La Liga strugglers Las Palmas after being chased away by gun-toting hoodlums.
“Olympiacos were a wrong club for him at the beginning, he thought he could help the team with goals but they are expecting too much with no patience,” one source told SCORENigeria
“And beyond that, the club expected him to play with injuries, and that was the genesis of his trouble there.
“The club gave the fans bad impressions that the player is not committed just because he went against their wish, and as a matter of fact, no players will accept such offer.”
The source added: “The club lied that he’s not committed, but they never said they refused to treat him after having injury. As a matter of fact, he snubbed a China move to sign for Olympiacos but it was a bad and pathetic experience for him.”
The source further said: “Olympiacos are a cult club, they have gangs who attack and intimidate people if you don’t do their bidding.
“They equally cause trouble in the whole of Greece. They mix among other supporters and cause trouble.
“They robbed Emenike, about five other foreign players have been robbed in the country, and nobody is saying anything.”
