Afeez Aremu has said he hopes IK Start clinch a UEFA Europe League place at the end of the season in Norway after they got off to a flying start with the Nigeria midfielder slamming a thunderbolt on his debut.
Aremu fired an unstoppable missile from outside the box as IK Start opened their league campaign in Norway Sunday with a heart-warming 4-1 home win against Tromso IL.
“I am very excited to have scored on my league debut and now I hope we do well in the season to at least qualify for the UEFA Europa League,” Aremu told SCORENigeria
He said he would score himself 8 out of 10 on his league debut, while promising to do more.
In the meantime, IK Start have loaned out compatriot Abubakar Ibrahim Aliyu to explain the absence of the former Nasarawa United forward in Sunday’s big home win.
