Kelechi Iheanacho has said he dreams of scoring a goal in the final of this season’s FA Cup with Leicester City.
The Nigeria striker has already made history in the glamorous cup competition by becoming the first player to be used as a fourth substitute in England last season and this season he was the first player whose goal was awarded by the VAR.
“I’m happy to be part of the cup history. I will now hope to score in the FA Cup final if we got there and I hope we get there,” Iheanacho said.
“This competition is so special to the fans.
“And my middle name is ‘Promise’ and I hope my name will affect me.”
This season, he has scored four goals in two starts in the cup.
Leicester City, who have never won the FA Cup, face Sheffield Wednesday tonight in the fifth round of the cup competition.
