Sunday Oliseh

Sunday Oliseh has revealed his suspension by Dutch second division club Fortuna Sittard was caused by his refusal to take part in “illegal activities”.

Fortuna Sittard announced Oliseh has been made “non-active” because of his poor working relations with both players and officials.

However, Oliseh has swiftly reacted to this decision by maintaining he is being slammed for refusing to go against the law.

“I confirm: Due to my refusal to participate in illegal activities at Fortuna Sittard and violate the law, I have been suspended from my duties as coach by foreign owners of Fortuna,” he tweeted.

“Unfortunately for the lovely fans,my players and our hard fought phenomenal positioning for promotion.”

The Dutch club are now owned by Turkish businessmen.

Oliseh quit his post as Nigeria coach two years ago under another controversy.
