Enyimba have expressed confidence they will make a big push up the NPFL table with the return of five CHAN Eagles stars.

The seven-time NPFL champions are 11th on the table with 10 points from seven matches even though they were without goalkeepers Ikkechukwu Ezenwa and Theophilus Afelokhai as well as Ikouwem Udoh, Ibrahim Mustapha and Austin Oladapo, who were away at the 2018 CHAN in Morocco.

Chairman Felix Anyansi-Agwu said he believes Enyimba will now mount a better challenge with the return of their top stars.

“Normally, when a team has five players on national duty, it has the right to request for postponement,” he further pointed out when he hosted the returning players to a reception.

“But we decided not to, because we believed we have a team in you, and you have proven to us that we did not make a mistake in putting together a squad like this.”
