Former Nigeria U20 midfielder Sani Tahir has said he hopes to help new club Syrianska FC win promotion to the Swedish second division.
“I am very happy to join this club and I am confident Syrianska FC will play in the second division next season,” he told the club’s official website.
“This team have a squad of very good players.
“And I’m a leader and I will give 100% both in training and matches.”
Left-sided midfielder Tahir has played in Finland and Denmark.
He featured for Nigeria at the 2011 FIFA U20 World Cup in Colombia.
In the meantime, defensive midfielder Success Nwosu, 23, who has Swedish nationality, has only recently extended his contract with the club who he joined in 2014.
He has made 96 appearances and scored five goals during his time with the club.
