Kalmar FF sports director Thomas Andersson Borstam said he is confident new signing Gbenga Arokoyo will settle down quickly at the Swedish club having previously played in the country.
Arokoyo returned to Sweden from the Major League Soccer side Atlanta United on a three-year contract after he played for Mjallby between 2012 and 2014.
“Gbenga is a player who knows the whole of Sweden very well and has done well during his recent time there,” remarked Thomas Borstam.
“He will adapt at Kalmar FF very quickly. He knows the language and the league well.”
“He has since continued his development in Turkey and the United States.
He is a strong and fast player who will help us greatly.”
Kalmar have also signed Nigeria defender Chima Akas.
