Shehu Abdullahi emotional goodbye

Anorthosis Famagusta right back Shehu Abdullahi has bade an emotional farewell to his Cypriot club as he left the pitch in tears after his last game against Ethinikos Achnas today.

Shehu netted in the game that ended 3-1 in their favour, but had to fight back emotions after the game in total appreciation for Anorthosis fans who got behind in his short stay.

Tears flowed as the former Kano Pillars defenders greeted his team mates and fans soon after the game amidst standing ovation from the 16, 000 plus fans at Anorthosis.

Shehu enjoyed memorable two seasons at Anorthosis, making 46 league appearances for the club that once paid the wages of former Super Eagles striker Mike Obiku.

Shehu will depart Monday to join his new Turkish side Bursaspor, where he will feature alongside compatriots William Troost-Ekong and Mikel Agu.
